Eight Of Wands

The Eight of Wands is a very interesting card. Not only does it stand for a scattered existence, it also stands for things being up in the air. When I see this card, I know that the Querent is usually stressed because they are doing too many things at once. It is as though everyone throws them their problems and expects the Querent to handle it for them. Notice the wands are going downward in the future (the right of the card) which indicates that if these responsibilities (or obstacles, situations, circumstances, etc.) are not taken care of promptly, they will get worse in the future. The Querent has much energy, ambition and drive, however, everyone needs a rest or vacation. This could be a workaholic type of person who thinks they must get everything done on their list before someone else does it - and does it wrong! The clear blue sky is promising because once you know that you are doing too much, it is clear that you should take steps to go on a vacation or at the very least just take time off. If not, I do use this as one of the first health issue warning cards. You must change something in your life to relieve this type of stress, or you will get ill in some way. The universe will force you to rest by allowing you to get the flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, or worse, perhaps even chronic fatigue syndrome. I know this as a fact since I never took this card seriously and had all of the above health related problems until I made a conscious effort to relax and prioritize my life. The green mountains with the castle foretells of fruitfulness or prosperity coming into your life. The calm waters reflect that all emotional issues are under control. Your work habits must be addressed or you may find yourself in a situation where you will need medical attention or at the very least, a doctor's visit to find out why you are exhausted.
