Williamsburg Spirit Orbs

While vacationing in Williamsburg, VA, I was lucky enough to give a wonderful lecture to a very spiritual group of people in a room which was built originally built over a garage as a prayer room. Throughout the years, it has expanded its purpose and all the participants are experts in various metaphysical and esoteric teachings and fields. It was an honor to do a lecture for them on tarot and I was truly made to feel at home. Thank you, Liz, for the invitation to speak to The Upper Room group.

One of the most amazing things that happened in Williamsburg was that my friend Doria and I went on a ghost lantern tour. Molly, the guide, was from Ireland and was brilliant in her role as an indentured servant taking us around the town to the haunted churches, graveyards, buildings, pillaries and the stockades. It was a most unusual tour learning about all of the local legends and hearing from Colonial Williamsburg employees about the ghostly happenings.

For instance, one young woman Joyce who was born in Williamsburg, said that she wasn't too fond of working in the hat and wig store since every morning when she opened the shop, all of the wigs and hats were on the floor. In another building, she always heard a baby crying. A baby was murdered there. We actually saw strange blue and orange lights in the windows of the Wythe House, (which was odd since the shutters on this house were on the inside of the window) which is supposed to be the most haunted house of them all. Later we saw a reflection of oranges and yellows as if there were a fire in the living room through the windows over the door. It was very odd and I did not get a good feeling about this place at all. A few minutes later, it was quite once again.

Doria was brave enough to touch the door handle, which was supposed to get ice cold and rattle, but it didn't. Instead, I just took a picture of it and let Lizzy Wythe lie in peace and keep her house to herself.

Amazingly enough, we went back several late nights to these churches and areas that were supposed to be haunted. I was lucky enough to have a digital camera and caught many spirit orbs. I wanted to share them with you now. Please make note that the large orb, the best picture in the lot, is not the moon. We made sure we noted where the moon was - it was behind us. What do you think about these? Look carefully on all of these pictures as the orbs moved after flash photography, but eventually came back to fly around their familiar places.

If you have any ghostly pictures that you would like to share on this site, please email me at Starscape50@aol.com and we will post them for you. Just let us know where it was and when.
