Spiritual Welcoming Ceremony

On each of your tables, there are bowls filled with crystals and the explanation of their meanings. Isabella’s family would like each one of you to choose two crystals. Please place one of the crystals with its good wishes and blessings for Isabella’s continued good health, happiness, abundance, and long life, into the glass bowl by the candles any time you wish during this celebration. Take the other crystal home with you so that the good wishes and blessings from this celebration will carry over into your own life.

We are here to welcome Isabella into our community of God, love, joy and wisdom. This community also includes her family and friends and people she has yet to meet on her spiritual path.. Her mother and father, Colleen and Anthony, are here to celebrate their daughter becoming a part of that community with us today.

In accordance with the traditions of baptism or welcoming ceremonies, we are allowing Isabella to be a free spirit without sin or hindrance to take on any and all joys and challenges of life knowing that she can rely on God, Spirit, Guardian Angels, Spirit Guides or whoever she chooses to believe in, to be there for her with guidance, strength, wisdom and knowledge to always do the right thing, to always find a peaceful solution to an issue and to be a complementary support system to her family and friends in return for their support throughout the years.

Today we have special candles, which will enhance the blessings we wish for Isabella.

In blessing Isabella, we welcome the five elements to be present. Fire, earth, air, water and ether.

Fire, so that Isabella will be strong, optimistic, and assertive in her needs and desires and will not be hindered by procrastination, fears, doubts and worries. We also wish that she will be passionate about life and everything she does in it for the good of all involved.

Earth, so that Isabella is grounded and strong, stable and secure in her feelings, emotions and life in general. May she instill this groundedness on all that come into her life.

Air, so that Isabella has the intellect, logic, practicality and wisdom to always do the right thing and for her to always exhibit honesty, strength of character and trust in all that she does.

Water so that Isabella will be sensitive to the needs and emotions of others and that she will be compassionate, empathetic and sympathetic when appropriate without harming herself or her beliefs.

And Ether, which is in every part of life, in our atmosphere, and lives through us without our knowledge, yet cannot be dismissed without dire consequences. Let the ether of the universe guide Isabella to be who she is truly meant to be without interference of others. Let her be strong enough to stand her ground and stick up for her beliefs without fear of failure or making enemies along the way.

CANDLE BLESSING
Colleen and Anthony have chosen to enhance the blessings we wish for Bella with the lighting of these beautifully colored candles. With the illumination of these candles, we give additional light and guidance to Isabella on her journey throughout this lifetime.

Blue is being lit by Isabella’s Grandmother, Christina. Blue stands for sensitivity and giving. May Isabella share the empathy, sympathy, compassion, concern, kindness, consideration and care that will make her a wonderful family member, friend and significant other.

Her Grandfather, Harold, is lighting the Green candle. Green stands for generosity of spirit. It provides prosperity, wealth, affluence, fertility, growth, kindness, and benevolence towards all living beings. May she attract these wonderful qualities in her life and share them freely with those she feels deserves them.

Orange is being lit by her Uncle Scott. Orange stands for groundedness, level headedness, stability, immovability, permanence, and strength of character. May all these attributes bless Isabella in this lifetime.

Isabella’s Aunt Coral is lighting the pink candle. Pink is the color of love, happiness, togetherness, and reciprocal relationships with family, friends and all that she meets and allows sharing their life with her. It represents self-esteem, self-confidence, joy and a heart that is pure, and strong.

Isabella’s cousin Emily is lighting the red candle. Red is the color of ambition, attention to detail, passion, energy, love of life in all its wonder, education and achievement.

Her cousin, Mitchell, is lighting yellow. Yellow brings in intellectual abilities where Isabella will be academically blessed, and will be able to call upon her logic, good judgment and common sense to do the proper things in life.

Isabella’s Uncle Nicky and Aunt Christine are lighting the turquoise candle. Turquoise is a very intuitive and spiritual color, which will help Isabella connect to Spirit, to know the difference between, right and wrong and always does the appropriate thing she was destined to do.

Her parents and siblings, Colleen, Anthony, Nicholas and Sophia, are lighting the purple candle. Purple is the highest vibrational color of spirituality, worship, holiness, philosophies of life, wisdom from above, and the ability to use that wisdom for the good of all involved.

May Isabella grow to be a source of light to all those around her. May her radiance illuminate the world. May the light of God be reflected in her shining deeds. May she help bring light and love to this world. And may God’s radiance continue to shine upon this family.

Anthony
We promise to watch over Isabella and to clothe her, shelter and protect her, love and support her for as long as she needs us as best we can. We promise to offer Isabella a good example so that she learns right from wrong, truth from dishonesty and especially to love her family and friends.

Colleen
We promise that in time of difficulty, Isabella, Sophia and Nicholas can turn to us for reassurance and help. We promise to keep careful watch over all of our children as they grow into adults and to be always ready to advise, encourage, and comfort them to the best of our abilities.

I have a reading that I would like to share with all of you. I had chosen this for Sophia’s blessing also, and wanted to read it again for Isabella.

I’d rather be a mother than anyone on earth Bringing up a child or two from the journeys of their birth.

I’d rather nurse a rosy babe with lips warm upon my breast Than wear a queen’s medallion above a heart that is not so blessed.

I’d rather tuck a child all safe and sound in bed Than wear a row of diamonds displayed upon my head.

I’d rather wash a smudgy face with eyes so bright and round Then have all the wealth money could bring or wear a ruby crown.

I’d rather be a mother and hear my baby’s call And because I am a mother, I am the richest one of all.

WATER BLESSING
We call connect in this wonderful stream of existence. This bowl before us holds water, the substance of life, which serves to ease our passage, cleans and refresh our bodies and purify our souls. We ask that this water bring blessings of love, health and happiness throughout our lives.

Into this water we place rose petals, fragrant, soft and gentle. They are the momentary but every reappearing decorations that invoke the cycle of life.

Isabella Eve, with all our hopes and dreams for the future, we celebrate your being with these gifts from the earth.

By tracing circle on your forehead with these petals, we mark your joining us on the adventure of life with the sign of balance and harmony. We wish for you wholeness and everlasting love. May you always be blessed with clear and creative thoughts.

By tracing the sign of infinity over your mouth, we celebrate your potential of wisdom, integrity and insight. May you always be blessed with wise and gentle words.

These petals are placed over your heart to symbolize the love and harmony firmly rooted in your life. We acknowledge hope for your future with humanity, gratitude, grace and love. May you always be blessed with a kind, courageous and strong heart.

FINAL BLESSING
The name Isabella means, “sacred to God” and her middle name, Eve, means “life giving.” Bella, which she is affectionately called, is Italian for “beautiful.” So in honor and admiration for life and in gratitude for your joining us, with great joy, encouragement and love, we bless and welcome you, Isabella Eve LaBanca, in the name of all that is kind and good, strong and loving.

May you always feel the love that surrounds you May your days be filled with wonder and your nights be gentle May all your years on this earth be blessed with health, wisdom and happiness And may the love you are be the power forever guiding your light on this earth. May God, your Angels and all your higher powers bless you and keep you always – in the white light of the Holy Spirit. AMEN
