She Stands Alone
by Joyce Chandler For she stands alone in the dark,
Far from the light,
Where there would be,
No light to show,
Evidence of her alone,
No shadows,
To show,
There once was two.She stood,
Alone in the night,
Wondering why,
She was left alone,
With nothing to guide her,
but an empty lonely heart,
that was filled with pain.Remembering all the things,
They had done,
The plans that were made,
If he was still with her,
Or had truly gone away. She searched her heart,
And spirit that night,
For she was a monument,
To that love,
For years and forever,
She and her love,
Would always be,
More than just a moment in time. For they were forever,
Within each other,
And through,
To show the world,
Of what love can do.October 9, 2000
