Yellow
by Clare Ciervo

Bring forth the rays of yellow sun
To vanquish all the blackened shade
Sing high the notes of yellow song
To make the voice of evil fade
Fly upon the yellow wind
That gently stirs sweet yellow grass
Glide upon the golden lake
Where floating yellow leaves amass
The sun, the stars, the shore, the sea
Full of beauty, strong yet mellow
This is the world's own wealth of gold
But you, you are my yellow.
